Today is exactly one year since the debut of The Mineral Maniacs at the 2017 Move Mining competition.
We have learned so much this past year about the publishing business, children’s literature, and STEM-based education. But most of all, we have been so humbled by the support and encouragement we’ve received from the Mining and Engineering communities. Thanks to the Move Mining competition, we’ve been able to publish our first book, expand the Mineral Maniacs brand, publish a Spanish translation and an Educational Activity Guide, and–with your continued support–produce book two of the series (targeted to be published before next year’s SME conference).
All of this to say, this project has become more than we could have ever dreamed it would be, and it is all thanks to the support and publicity received from the Move Mining competition.
